Unsung Heros 

It is wonderful to see so many hard working and talented food producers now getting the recognition they deserve. Whether it is on television or in the press, many food producers and restaurateurs are gaining widespread appreciation and acknowledgement of their abilities and produce.

There are, however, still many more gifted artisans out there that doggedly carry on and get overlooked. Some of these people are naturally self effacing and do not go out of their way to promote themselves – most are probably far too busy to do so! They are only recognised by those of us that come across them unexpectedly or because they are the little place ‘round the corner’ that we use because they are there.  Even if these unsung heroes want a quiet life, harsh reality nowadays means the need for regular sales is the only way to survive.
